We begin with the job a product must do. Research may compare dimensions, materials, durability, care, assembly, return terms, availability, price and overall value. We also consider renter suitability, small-space suitability, common complaints, realistic alternatives and whether buying nothing is the better decision.
First-hand and Research-based Recommendations
Articles identify their methodology as Hands-on tested, Used in a real project, or Research-based guide. A product is never described as personally tested unless the named author actually used or inspected it.
Specifications and Retailer Information
Where relevant, guides check current manufacturer specifications, official care or assembly guidance, and retailer terms. Prices, stock, warranties and return conditions can change, so readers should confirm important commercial details before purchasing.
Tradeoffs and Alternatives
A recommendation should explain drawbacks as well as benefits. We may suggest lower-cost alternatives, secondhand options, repair, waiting for a sale, or making no purchase when those choices better serve the reader.
